On the slopes of the Pohorje mountain- with the most snow in the AREH area- there are 65 snow guns set up in different locations. Everything is following the schedule with the top event, the opening of the new Pohorje gondola, on Wednesday, December 23rd.

The Race Office of the 46th Golden Fox has received preliminary entries of 24 teams with over three hundred competitors and officials.

Mr. Atle Skaardal, the Ladies AUDI FIS World Cup director was visiting Maribor in autumn and he praised again the organizer for the excellent performance of the 45th Golden Fox, expressing also his congratulations to the enormous media response of the WC event in Maribor. After inspection of the racing slopes Mr. Skaardal and the organizer reached an agreement to prepare both the slalom and the giant slalom course in the maximal lengths.

At the first formal meeting of the OC the FIS World Cup calendar till 2013 with the schedules for the Golden Fox events was presented by Mr. Srečko Vilar, Secretary General. “The Golden Fox is staying in the most attractive part of the winter season reserved for the classic event, it is immediately after New Year. The only exemption is the year 2013, when the 49th Golden Fox is schedule for February 1st-2nd.The University World Championships will also take place in Maribor in 2013!
