With a 77 hundredths of a second lead over runner-up Federica Brignone, American Mikaela Shiffrin tied the record for the most wins in the FIS Women's World Ski Championships and also set a new record with 3 giant slalom wins at the Golden Fox.
Mikaela Shiffrin set the best time of the first run (55.30) with the starting number 1 and secured a great position to win the second giant slalom of the 59th Golden Fox.
Yesterday's public draw in Kranjska Gora finalized the starting order for today's giant slalom.
Valerie Grenier won the first giant slalom of the 59th Golden Foxes with a lead of 0,37 seconds, making her the first Canadian Winner in the history of the competition.
