The organizers of the Audi FIS Ladies World Cup in Maribor have no luck in organising this year's Golden Fox. After yesterday's cencellation after 25 racers started the jury today didn't wait so long. At 07.44 a massage from FIS came: RACE CANCELED!

After the Maribor slalom race had already started in front of the packed stadium and Tina held the second position, the race jury decided to stop the first run and cancelled the race.

The sun started shining on the slope under the Pohorje hill, when the jury decided, that the course is ready and the race can start. The first run starts at 10.45, Tina Maze is to race as the second.

The FIS inspectors inspected the course, but the final decision will be reached at 10 o'clock.

As soon the night has fallen on the Maribor World Cup course the organizers started to prepare the slope for the tomorrow's slalom. The battle for the 47. Golden Fox goas on.

“ As long as the sky stays clear, we are not worried,” denied Gorazd Bedrač, Chief of Race, shortly and decisively the speculations, whether or not the race is going to take place. “The forecast calls for clear skies, but it won’t be freezing,” added Markus Mayr, Assistant Director WC Technical Disciplines Ladies at the last press conference. “ The 47th Golden Fox is going to take place!” concluded Srečko Vilar, OC Secretary General.

Mr. Markus Mayr, Assistant Director WC Ladies, arrived today in Maribor and immediately went to the slopes for the WC competition for ladies- the Golden Fox, scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday on Pohorje.
