The fan cheering battle among Slovenes and Slovaks continues in Podkoren. This wonderful weather attracted a crowd of 4.000 fans. After first slalom run, Anna Swenn Larsson from Sweden is leading before runner up Nina Haver-Loeseth from Norway. Undisputed favorites for top places, Petra Vlhova and Wendy Holdener are chasing the leading time.
Very hard and steep course, which resembles more a men’s event course, remains a challenge for all competitors. Time gaps among top rankings are quite big. Anna Swenn Larsson is leading with 0,5 s advantage, while Meta Hrovat on 10th place was more than 2 s behind.
Best Slovenians, Meta Hrovat and Ana Bucik performed well. Meta Hrovat prepared herself for an attack in second run, just like yesterday when she finished third in giant slalom. Ana Bucik has a chance to reach her best slalom ranking this season.
