Good starting point for Tina's second run

( 22. 02. 2015 )
Not even rain stopped spectators from coming to cheer for the best skiers in the world

Tina Maze was taught a lesson at the yesterday's GS, when she was misled by uproarious noise caused by her cheering fans. That made her more careful on today's course , but was at the same time fast enough for a good starting point in the second run to strike for the podium at the 51st edition of the Golden Fox.

''I had to be more careful not to repeat the same mistake  from the yesterday's race again. I'll be attacking in the second run, '' said the best skier in the world being in good mood after the first run and happy because of 12.000 spectators supporting her.

Mikaela Schiffrin was again without any real competition, especially in the lower sector of the course, where she collected enough advantage for the second run. Nevertheless, her lead isn't that huge, so the struggle for the victory staysl open. Mainly due to the excellent course, which fortunately wasn't damaged first by druzzle and later not even by rain, it forecasts that the placements after the first run won't be decisive. None of the skiers, who came to the finish, did not forget to mention two main characteristics of this year's Golden Fox: ''The workers did a perfect job on the course and the spectators are wonderful!''

Despite the fact that the weather forecast wasn't promising, that didn't stop the spectators to attend the Maribor event under Pohorje. There are some less spectators than at the yesterday's race, but the Golden Fox is always a celebration that's one of a kind despite rain!''
