There were 11 TV studios (out of the 15, following the Alpine World Cup) present in Maribor broadcasting live the 45th Golden Fox for 1:42 hours and reaching 21 million viewers (GSL 54 minutes, 6 million viewers, SL 48 minutes, 15 million viewers).
The media analysis done by INFRONT shows 69 TV stations having reported from Pohorje and the Golden Fox. The total broadcast time was 77 hours and over 187 million TV viewers were reached.
Three TV broadcasters had their own studios and interview stages for the winners within the finish arena.
The FIS rating of the 2008/09 World Cup alpine events, that were live on TV and the public attention they had, places the 45th Golden Fox on 1st place among the 10 biggest WC events (all disciplines, M/L). The rating by the viewers of all kinds of TV broadcast puts the event in Maribor on 3rd place.

When analyzing the share of the TV viewers (out of all on-line) watching the World Cup races in different countries we find out the following differences: AUT 47 %, SLO 34 %, SUI 24 %, NOR 25 %, CRO 20 %, GER 17 %, SWE 13 %.
In Slovenia we have the Golden Fox rated 2nd just behind Planica when using the TV viewers as reference.
The visibility of the graphics of Maribor - Pohorje and the Golden Fox was overall satisfactory, the best in SUI 2:40 hours, USA 1:20 hours and in the EU 0:40 hours.
The advertising marketing value was best in Germany and in Sweden, followed by other EU countries.
The 45th Golden Fox was in the focus of the media attention, confirmed by the presence of 350 local and 250 foreign journalists accredited for the event at Pohorje. All other reports, from the site of the event and of the accompanying happening, these journalists published outside the sport area, are not part of these analysis, but are very important for the tourist promotion of Maribor and Pohorje.
