Chief of Race, Mitja Dragšič, is content. Yesterday was a very important and successful day for joint teams of Maribor and Kranjska Gora. Entire course was treated with water and tonight’s low temperatures additionally hardened the surface.
“Three technical teams started racecourse preparations simultaneously, at the same time, but in different sections. From start to finish, we treated the racecourse with water, so it is icy now and ready. Everything was going well. We are calmly anticipating a few more days until Saturday. Now we can move on to providing race course safety measures, race course equipment and infrastructure at start and finish area.”
Two days before GS for 56. Golden Fox and only five days after making a decision to move the race to reserve slopes in Podkoren, the move of entire Organizing Committee is finished. On the course, there are around 40 technical workers from Maribor and 30 from Pokal Vitranc team. “We have enough of personnel and we are all used to this,” concluded Mitja Dragšič at Podkoren.
