Sarah Lewis, FIS Secretary General was present at 56. Golden Fox in Kranjska Gora. FIS Secretary General was thrilled with race in Podkoren, succesful organization despite the venue change and excellently prepared course. "The course was exceptionally well prepared. Congratulations to all competitors for top performances. Since there was no men's world cup race this weekend, Golden Fox was significantly important for women's alpine skiing. It received great publicity while being broadcasted alongside ski jumping event in Kulm. This is an important weekend of this season and you used it well. It is also of great importance, how you showed that two organizing teams and national skiing association can cooperate in an excellent way. Such cooperation is examplary for others as well, so I would like to thank the organizers for all their efforts and a job well done. School break started in Slovenia, which made providing accommodation during peak tourist season, an enormous challenge for the organizers. Yet you tackled the accommodation challenge well. At the same time seeing such a high interest in skiing indicates how popular skiing really is. It is remarkable to see such great cooperation in this area, at the tripoint of three countries. Again, congratulations to all!"
