Srečko Jesenšek, Director of Pohorska vzpenjača: "During the Christmas holidays, there were more than 5000 skiers on Pohorje, most of them on the slope that has been prepared for the Golden Fox race. That proves, that the slope is already well prepared!"

Gorazd Bedrač, Chief of the race: "The more skiers, the better! By that a more even snow structure will be achieved. However, the snow making is finished; there are at least 50 cm of snow along the slope. Finished is also the preparation made by snow cats, also all facilities in the finish arena are already there. Now, we would like to make snow also under the chair lift Poštela, on the slope called Mariborski slalom as an alternative to Špelcin log. Until the New Year it will be warmer again due to inversion, but afterwards cold weather is coming. We would like both alternatives to be ready until the snow inspection that will take place on January 6."
