The freezing temperatures came just in time! After the long thaw weather, that had left on Pohorje slopes only a narrow path of snow, still allowing skiing during the New Year¨s Holidays, the snow-making  machinery "awoke" again on Sunday. At the beginning the temperature was low enough only on the upper part of the course, the Monday morning saw the snow guns operating also in the finish arena.

Goraz Bedrač, Chief of Race: "The slalom course is in fact already ready! The upper part of the Giant slalom shall be ready on Tuesday. The weather forecast calls for snow, that should give us, mixed with the artificial one an even more firm ground layer of snow. We had good luck! On Thursday we are going to have the Snow control and till that time everything shall be perfect."

This situation eliminates all other possibilities, the organizers of the Golden Fox are normaly having in stock in the event of extraordinary (weather) conditions.

The 46th Golden Fox Trophy  on January 16th- 17th, 2010 shall be carried out on the traditional course, with the finish at the hotel Arena. The Technics Crew under the leadership of Mr. Drago Rataj started to set up all constructions. A  special  "open access" hospitality tent will be a special feature at this Golden Fox.
