Eleven days prior to 52. Golden Fox event, mostly everything is set: Course has a suitable snow surface and Slovenian national team has a top competitor!Ana Drev was the fastest in both first runs of latest two GS World Cup races. Last Sunday in Flachau, for a first time in her career, she stepped on the podium as a winner. Ana's success and cold weather came in perfect timing for the Golden Fox!”Snow surface is in perfect condition,” says Mitja Dragšič, Chief of Race. ”Amount of snow is sufficient, yet we are still snowmaking and finishing final details on already excellent racecourse. Weather forecast is being monitored hourly so all further procedures on course depend on given situation. Everything is under control, including a fact we can expect another warm up before the competition. Final preparation of snow surface depends on this.”FIS Snow controller Filip Gartner will have an official course examination on January 21. This time there is no uncertainty regarding a final decision. However, organizers will be glad to use Gartner’s long years of experience considering final preparation of the course. Srečko Vilar, Organizing's Committee General Secretary is pleased as well: ”An excellent competition course and Ana Drev's success are the best invitation to 52nd Golden Fox event! We are preparing a big skiing celebration at Pohorje foothills combined with accompanying event programme at Trg Leona Štuklja. Our town is breathing with the Golden Fox event”.
