Organizers are expecting tomorrow’s snow control in a calm manner. Appointed FIS controller is Hans Grogl. Slovenian competitors already tested snow stadium for training earlier today. Among them were Ilka Štuhec, who recently achieved her best giant slalom result in world cup racing in Semmering and Ana Drev, ranked second at last year’s race.Besides Slovenians, Russians and Slovaks also did their training sessions today, while Canadians and French are expected to join them tomorrow. Slovenians were thrilled with hard surface on snow stadium. Even though racecourse is not fully prepared and as smooth as it should be, it remains difficult and therefore perfect for training. Mitja Dragšič, chief of race, was satisfied with first racecourse test: »Really a men's racecourse, real training. We continue with snowmaking in upper part so we can broaden the racecourse. All prospects seem to be in our favour«. Racecourse will be open for public until 1. January. Safety nets will be positioned on 2. January. Final decisions regarding snow preparations will be made after new year’s and depending on weather forecast.
