Surprisngly, at the age of 24, Meta Hrovat decided to end a career in which she was on the podium of the World Cup four times. "I decided to end my professional career due to increasingly frequent health problems and a lack of real motivation. I first got these feelings after falling in a match in Lenzerheide. That's when the knee problems started, which I still feel today. Although I tried everything to return to the snow in the desired condition, unfortunately this did not happen. Psychophysically, I no longer felt that I could achieve top results. With this, the joy and true feelings that I felt on the snow until now disappeared. I was no longer myself capable of giving one hundred and more percent, so I'm putting my skis in the corner. This is not a sad farewell, after all, I'm only 24 years old and new challenges await me in life," said Meta about her decision.
