After the FIS delegate, snow inspector and chief of the race had examined the racecourse, the decision was reached: the Saturday's race will take place on the new course under the chair lift Poštela, the so-called Mariborski slalom slope. The start will be at the top of the left side, a little bit under the road.
Gorazd Bedrač, Chief of the Race: ''All three of us agreed, that this course is better. It is more dynamic and above all skiing for the tourists won't be disturbed during the race. Now, we have two days left for the basic preparation of the new course, then on Friday we'll carry out the ''injection board''. For the next week, the weather forecast is not so good, but we think, that the slope will be so hardened by then that it won't threaten the race any more. The racecourse will be, seen from above, more on the left side, but there will be enough space for the spectators.''
Drago Rataj, Chief of the technical committee: ''Because there are no problems with the racecourse this year, the more easier it is also for us. The most facilities are already on the scene, we have no problems at all.''
