The move from Maribor to Kranjska Gora started on 2. January. Chief of Race Mitja Dragšič met with Vitranc Cup organizers  and ski lift management as Maribor technical team will join forces on the slopes with Kranjska Gora team. There is enough snow and main preparations will start on Tuesday. Other organizational tasks of this demanding venue change are going as planned, yet this is the third venue change in a row. 

 

Providing accommodation was the most important at the moment. Manja Koklič, Head of Accommodations: ”All athletes and teams will stay in Bled. We will organize them a red bubble, so following and respecting covid restrictions can be completely monitored."

 

Klemen Grgič, Head of Accreditations: ”For athletes and their teams, we will open the accreditation office in Bled on Wednesday morning when first teams arrive. For the yellow bubble, which consists of media representatives and for blue bubble (organizational) the offices will be located in Kranjska Gora.”

 

Srečko Vilar, OC Secretary General: ”Covid center will be organized in Kranjska Gora, we already have arrangements with Jesenice hospital.”

 

Meanwhile the finish area is being constructed in Podkoren. A seated tribune area will be available for invited guests, meaning all guests will be accredited. The 58. Golden Fox will not host any spectators. There will be no VIP tent in the finish area, there will be only a tent for competitors and media center. 

 

Srečko Vilar: ”On Friday and Saturday afternoon we will arrange a cultural event in Maribor as we want to emphasise the fact the Golden Fox is at home in Maribor."
